IAS raise fuel surcharge

Island Aviation Services (IAS) has revealed that the fuel surcharge levied by the airline has been increased. The airline informs that the increase is due to increase in the price of fuel from Maldives Airports Company.
According to Ismail Shujau Assistant Director of IAS the fuel surcharge of Rf.130 previously levied by the airline has now been increased to Rf.150.
IAS informs that the airline is continuously striving to provide better and uninterrupted service to the traveling public. According to Ismail Shujau Assistant Director the major share of the increase in fuel price was absorbed by the airline and are not passed on to the customer. IAS says the increase in fuel surcharge is not intended to increase the revenue of the airline and that further increases may be implemented with changes in fuel price.
This is the 8 th time the airline has increased its surcharge this year. In this regard latest revisions were made on 14 th of this month.
